Founders Mark Pluhacek and Molly Romero took over 18 months to develop their vision for the space, which Mark describes as “a neighborhood place with old-house charm, great food, a focused yet extensive wine list, exquisitely landscaped patio dining, and where people can come to spend an afternoon, an evening, or just drop in for a good meal or glass of wine.”
In keeping with the neighborhood and its traditions, Mark and Molly have discovered that Marks has become a place where people might encounter old friends at the next table—and often make new ones.
Marks’ menu involves American and Italian standbys with a hint of French influence and a dash of Asian flair—all with an eye toward providing guests gluten-free and vegetarian options. Valuing fresh and local ingredients, Marks keeps its preparations on site, and offers remarkable variety from its tiny kitchen. Marks even has a rooftop garden where vegetables and herbs are grown on-site.
The owners and staff invite Marks’ regulars and newcomers to come in to the home we have created and give us a chance to show you how much we appreciate our guests.
