The Pines Country Club, northwest of Valley, is situated on level terrain. Strategically placed traps guard the greens and sit in several fairways. The rough is seeded bluegrass, cut slightly longer than the fairways. The fairways are lined with trees. The large undulating greens, often cut short and quick, are the most challenging aspect of the course. |
The Pines features a putting green, chipping green, practice bunker and driving range to hone your skills. To learn the skills of golf, the four PGA pros are more than happy to give lessons. Also, rental golf carts, clubs, and pull carts are available. The clubhouse features a locker room and a pro shop.

The Omaha Parks and Recreation Department operates several outstanding municipal golf courses. Their courses are open from dawn to dusk, seven days a week, including holidays. Each course offers public golf, league and tournament play, concessions, pro shop service and lessons. |
Tee times can be reserved seven days in advance, in person or by calling the course. The Omaha Parks and Recreation Department also offers free golf clinics for youth ages 8 to 14.
