The Boiler Room Restaurant is called that because the space was the boiler room for the 120 year old Bemis Bag Building. The construction of steel posts and girders, brick walls and reinforced concrete ceilings was designed to isolate and fireproof the room. A part of the street level floor remained like a balcony overlooking the boiler dramatically, theatrically.
The Boiler Room proudly offers the finest artisan products, painstakingly sourced from passionate growers. Our menu is a reflection of the belief that all great food begins in the field and changes daily.
Our bar program takes advantage of those same relationships with local growers and foragers to present a cocktail list that is at once informed by the classics and eagerly prepared to create drinks of its own.
Our wine cellar is a collection of over 500 different labels of Old World domaines that emphasize clarity, elegance and high toned aromatics that compliment the freshness of the ingredients on the plate, and our service staff would be thrilled to find the bottle to match your evening.

Omaha grew around the railroad industry and its importance in our history is well-known. At the center of the nation, Omaha was a hub for travelers from all parts of the country, and really the world. This merging of regions required dining cars of the rail lines to meet a wide variety of tastes and preferences. Each rail line had its specialties, and together those recipes help comprise “American” food.
Today, most people think of American food as processed, fast, and handed through your car window. At Railcar, we want to take you back to the classic American dining experience: Food that blends flavors from so many cultures, from all corners of the melting pot that is the United States. Food that warms your soul as it fills your stomach.
