Currently the restaurant focuses on providing sophisticated dining in a relaxed neighborhood environment. With offerings ranging from gourmet signature salads to fine steaks and seafood, Taxi’s is designed to accommodate any occasion. Taxi’s also boasts one of Omaha’s finest Sunday brunches.
Taxi’s Grille and Bar is the brain-child of Malcolm (Mac) Thompson and Bill Johnette. Thompson and Johnette previously found success in the Omaha restaurant business with the heralded Neon Goose (1979-1999). Entering its 14th year of operation, Taxi’s is now operated by Thompson and his Godson Chase Thomsen. Bill Johnette passed away in 2009 after a long fought battle with cancer.
